First International Bank Trust is Hiring an Employee Benefits Specialist Near Bismarck, ND

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Employee Benefits Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional service to our employees.

In-Office Position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain benefit records and prepare necessary documents for implementation of coverage.
  • Conduct annual benefit meetings and advise employees on eligibility for insurance and other benefits and oversee the open enrollment and benefit renewal process.
  • Meet annually with FIBT benefit vendors to review plan performance and utilization. Make benefit enhancements and recommendations to the Executive Team and Board of Directors.
  • Manage medical leaves of absences under the FMLA, ADA and state and/or federal laws.
  • Update required benefits language on intranet with current SPD’s and plan documents.
  • Compile and file required benefits regulatory reports.
  • Maintain, create, and archive proper correspondence and legal files.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field; and four to seven years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A designation as a CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) or similar designation is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefits laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in MS Office and HRIS software.
